QRH

Quick Reference Handbook

Memory items and key abnormals. Always verify against the current FCOM/QRH for the specific airframe.

Memory Items

Engine Fire, Severe Damage, or Separation

ATA26
  1. 1.Autothrottle (affected engine) — DISCONNECT
  2. 2.Thrust lever (affected engine) — CLOSE
  3. 3.Fuel control switch (affected engine) — CUTOFF
  4. 4.Engine fire handle (affected engine) — PULL
  5. 5.If fire warning continues after 30 sec: rotate fire handle to discharge bottle
  6. 6.If fire warning still continues: rotate handle other direction (2nd bottle)
Reference only — verify against current FCOM/QRH.

APU Fire

ATA26
  1. 1.APU fire handle — PULL
  2. 2.Rotate handle — DISCHARGE (auto-discharges on ground)

Cargo Fire

ATA26
  1. 1.Cargo fire ARM switch (affected) — PUSH
  2. 2.Cargo fire DISCH switch — PUSH
  3. 3.Plan to land at nearest suitable airport

Rapid Depressurization

ATA21
  1. 1.Oxygen masks and regulators — ON, 100%
  2. 2.Crew communication — ESTABLISH
  3. 3.Emergency descent if required (FL100 or MEA, whichever higher)
  4. 4.Squawk 7700 if appropriate

Cabin Altitude Warning

ATA21
  1. 1.Oxygen masks and regulators — ON, 100%
  2. 2.Crew communication — ESTABLISH
  3. 3.Identify cause / plan descent

Recall / Non-Memory

Suspected Fuel Leak

ATA28
  1. 1.Identify which engine (compare burn vs. EICAS fuel flow)
  2. 2.Affected engine fuel control switch — CUTOFF
  3. 3.Engine fire handle (affected) — PULL (closes spar valve)
  4. 4.Land at nearest suitable airport

Fuel Imbalance > 4,000 lbs

ATA28
  1. 1.Crossfeed valves on heavy side — OPEN
  2. 2.Feed both engines from heavier side until balanced
  3. 3.Close crossfeed valves when within limits

Fuel Jettison (when required for landing weight)

ATA28
  1. 1.Determine min fuel to retain — set in jettison panel
  2. 2.Jettison switch — ON (per QRH config)
  3. 3.Monitor symmetry and rate (≈ 2,500 lbs/min total)
  4. 4.Switch — OFF when target quantity reached

Loss of All AC Generators

ATA24
  1. 1.APU — START (if not already)
  2. 2.APU GEN — ON when available
  3. 3.Standby buses verify on battery
  4. 4.Land at nearest suitable airport

Loss of Hydraulic System

ATA29
  1. 1.Identify affected system (EICAS HYD page)
  2. 2.Demand pump (if applicable) — AUTO
  3. 3.Review surface losses — refer to QRH appendix
  4. 4.Plan landing distance per QRH for affected system

Reference

NO LAND 3 / LAND 2

ATA22
  1. 1.Verify autoland status indication
  2. 2.If LAND 2: CAT IIIA limit applies (fail-passive)
  3. 3.If NO AUTOLAND: hand-fly or go-around per minima
